Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
A new website for chartering yachts in Turkey, Greece and Croatia has been launched by charter company - Southern Cross Blue Cruising. According to Southern Cross, the new website will allow users to easily find information on charter yachts and destinations, while retaining their personalised service.
Dave Stanley of Southern Cross commented, “Our old site had be around for 10 years and although it was still bringing results, we wanted something more ‘21st century’ in its appearance and functionality, while retaining that personal touch. This is very much what we are about, both with Southern Cross and our refit and repair business - Bodrum Yacht Services.”
“The whole site is new; we had been planning and researching for about three months and it’s taken over 30 days to carry out. The home page shows Dina and I more prominently, so the client knows who they are dealing with; actual people and not an email address.”
The website features a personalised homepage with a picture of Dave and Dina as well as company information. The new site also offers easy access to information on the 2015 gulet charter fleet, information on cruise destinations, a blog and information on how to book.
The website was produced in-house by both Dave and his partner Dina, who have many years’ experience in the yacht charter industry. Dave continued, “We are lucky in so much as, with a degree from Berkeley, Dina is very savvy in this area; combine that with 17-odd years in the charter business, we are very happy in what we have created. There are some small items left for us to tick off before the website is 100% finished. Users will soon be able to fill out contact forms for every boat, so they can easily request a specific kind of charter or boat.
“Having had various web designers come to us, we realised that they have no knowledge of the industry or its requirements therefore they could not create something that we see as the correct way to get us out there. It just goes to show with what people can do with their own websites.”
Southern Cross Blue Cruising is a specialised gulet charter company based in Bodrum, Turkey operating under a Turkish Tourism Charter Licence.
