Ocean Training launch animated RYA/MCA licensed distance learning courses

Ocean Training Ltd is one of the worldwide leaders in online navigation distance learning, offering maritime students the chance to enroll in RYA, MCA and US Coastguard approved distance learning courses while on land or at sea.

Created for motor and sail yacht mariners, the courses now have over 380 professionally produced animations, which alongside existing course material, really help to enhance the learning experience.

The 380 animations, which include chart work, tides, collision regulations, meteorology, seamanship, safety, and distress messages to name but a few, all have full sound and are available in either an English or American accent.

Recognising the quality of these courses, Ocean Training have granted the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) a license to use these animated distance learning courses in the training of all of their in-house staff and coastguard training courses. 

Ocean Training are offering free online sample lessons as a preview for mariners to the quality of the new animated courses, and sample tests to test existing navigation knowledge.

Animated training courses include MCA STCW 95, Officer of the Watch Navigation and Radar, Officer of the Watch General Knowledge and MCA Celestial Navigation.
