Serge Ferrari, a leading manufacturer of flexible marine composite membranes, has announced the promotion of Ilse Beterams to general manager of Serge Ferrari North America.
Ilse, who is due to take up her new post beginning 1st July 2015, will oversee all aspects of Serge Ferrari operations in the United States and Canada, including sales, finance, marketing, shipping and inventory management. She replaces Teresa Valdes who has left in order to pursue other career opportunities.
Ilse has been with the company for 23 years, most recently as sales manager for northern Europe, managing sales team in Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. During her tenure, sales in Europe have grown steadily.
Her achievements include working with architects and engineers on many large projects, including the 2012 Olympic Games in London, where most of the new construction included Serge Ferrari composite materials.
Ilse, who is highly experienced with the composite sales process, from custom support to new market development and new product launches, will report to Marc Beaufils, general manager international and marketing.
As national sales manager of Serge Ferrari North America, Steve Frederickson will now report to Ilse with his experience of the US market key to the development of the brand in this area.
