On the Monday after the show, which ended last Sunday, Global Boat Shipping shipped a 43ft yacht from the fairground via Antwerp, to its new owner in Asia. Michel Wirt, managing director at Global Boat Shipping commented, “We had considerably more visitors at our stand than last year. This was also reflected in the increased number of yacht transport orders.”
Global Boat Shipping has been a regular exhibitor at the Düsseldorf Boat Show for over 10 years. Based in Germany, it has been operating in the yacht shipping business for over 20 years. It transports boats and yachts world-wide for a variety of international customers. The brand saw a highly successful 2015, with a record number of shipments recorded in the final quarter of last year.
Boot Düsseldorf attracted more than 1,800 yacht and boat exhibitors at this year’s show, as well as 247,000 visitors from 52 countries, a 2.8% increase on last year’s attendance. Matthias Dornscheidt, managing director at Boot Düsseldorf commented, “It is so much fun starting the trade fair year with Boot.
“Anyone who went round the halls saw exhibitors with cheerful faces and great visitors, with exactly the right blend of trade representatives and private water sports enthusiasts. Boot 2016 was a professional party that whetted everyone’s appetite for water activities in gloomy January.”
