YachtSurfer, the marine internet specialist, has been gaining recognition for their new SurfSonic bonded internet service, with the product recently wining the coveted ‘Product of the Year’ award. The accolade was awarded and presented at the 2015 British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association Conference, held in Southampton last week on the 21st October.
Meanwhile in Amsterdam, SurfSonic was also recognised by industry experts in its nomination for a DAME Award, which is due to be announced at METS next month between the 17th and 19th November.
Jim Weir from YachtSurfer commented, "We are delighted to have been awarded BMEEA Product of the Year 2015 for SurfSonic, coming on the same day as a DAME Award nomination, this shows the demand in the marketplace for delivering superfast internet to yachts of all sizes at realistic costs."
SurfSonic increases a yacht’s internet speed and reliability, using proprietary bonded internet technology. The system works by combining the bandwidth from any number of diverse internet connections, such as cellular 4G / 3G, Wi-Fi, or DSL to create superfast internet access.
Jim continued, "The demand for ever increasing bandwidth will continue, whether for streaming content, business management or maintaining communications, and Yacht Surfer will continue to deliver innovative products like SurfSonic to meet this demand."
