Italian Shipyard Sanlorenzo has launched the third edition in its 460EXP series, Ocean’s Four; a 42.2m customisable explorer yacht.
Launched on the weekend in La Spezia, Ocean’s Four features some distinct attributes to separate her from her predecessors, M/Y Moka and M/Y X; the first of which is her hull, which is finished in ‘Graublau’, a dark blue colour. Her bulwarks have also been lowered, at the request of the owner, in order to provide a better view out to sea from the main saloon. Exteriors were styled by Francesco Pascowski, and naval architecture was taken care of in-house.
The shipyard stated, “The 460Exp is designed to give her owner a real taste of adventure: The exploration of distant and exotic destinations, with the safety and comfort associated with a superyacht, combining the experience.”
Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she has a total interior volume of 460GT giving the series its name. She features a maximum beam of 8.8m and a draught of 2.45m.
Powered by 1,319hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines, Ocean’s Four has a top speed 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots, using her fuel capacity of 50,000l to achieve a range of 4,000nm.
10 guests are split between five cabins, and crew quarters hold up to seven staff.
Ocean’s Four, like her predeceasing 460EXP Series yachts, features a generous tender storage space on the aft deck, which sister yacht M/Y X uses to hold a submarine.
