Turquoise Yachts have delivered their latest yacht, the 47m M/Y Razan, in collaboration with H2 Design. The new yacht was created from scratch to meet the owner’s requirements, resulting in an entirely new conception.
Mehmet Karabeyoglu, CEO of Turquoise, said, “Although she was a very well designed boat to start with, the owner wanted something different so we didn’t use any of the existing drawings. We designed everything from scratch.”
The new design focuses on multi-functional spaces, meaning she achieves a number of amenities expected of a larger yacht but in a more concise space. This is evident in the redesigned sundeck featuring both a spa pool and a lounge bar, the new sea level beach club including a gym, dive store and extended swim platform, and the reconfigured foredeck that allows for larger tenders and a guest seating area.
Razan accommodates 12 guests across two VIP rooms, a master suite, and three staterooms, all containing Pullman bunks. Turquoise Yachts noted that it is rare for a yacht of this size to contain a fifth guest cabin. Crew accommodation consists of one captain’s cabin and four double crew cabins.
Razan’s contemporary interior and exterior were designed by H2 Design. The modern interiors aim for flexibility to meet a variety of needs, and the steel hull and aluminium superstructure form a clean, sharp profile.
Under 500GT, she has a 2.6m draft and can achieve a 4200nm cruising range. Karabeyoglu commented, “During sea trials, she achieved a top speed of 17.5 knots, a good 1.5 knots better than expected, as well as excelling in both sea keeping and stability and noise and vibration tests.”
Turquoise has announced they plan to take Razan to boat shows in Cannes, Monaco and Fort Lauderdale during the fall.
