The Italian Uniesse Marine Group has announced that it has begun redesigning its line of motor yachts, with plans to further expand into the superyacht market following its recent acquisition of assets of Uniesse Marine.
With the acquisition led by David Schwedel, a Florida-based SMBV investor, the company’s headquarters are to be relocated to Miami with all manufacturing undertaken in Italy.
The brand currently offers a range of motor yachts spanning from 14.9m to 35m in length, with its 29.5m Sport 95 and 35m MY 115 models sitting in the superyacht segment.
Speaking recently to SuperYachtTimes, Schwedel said, “This acquisition will allow Uniesse to expand into markets that were formerly underserved by the company, including Asia and the Middle East. In addition, we will have capabilities to help our existing customers move up to larger vessels over the coming years.”
According to Schwedel, with larger models currently in production, the company is considering the introduction of more 30m+ models to its line. He said, “Our current 90’, 105’, and 115’ motor yachts are all in line for production beginning in 2020. We are in the process of reviewing larger vessels in the 120’ to 135’ range as well for 2023.”
