Navtec recently completed a full rigging refit on Vaimiti, a 39.6m aluminium sailing yacht, designed by Jacques & Nicolas Fauroux in 2003 and built by Trehard Shipyard in Antibes.
Vaimiti has a relentless sailing calendar and therefore downtime for refit and repair projects are very costly and need to be minimised.
Navtec Sud Europe team and Performance Gréement completed the whole refit within 14 days.
The Lorima mast was first unstepped by the Performance Gréement team on 31st May. In the following 10 days, Navtec replaced all lateral rod rigging, along with head- and backstays. In addition, brand new Kevlar 25T runners were manufactured on-site in Mandelieu before the mast was restepped and tuned on 12th June.
The design capability and on-site manufacturing enables Navtec to service boats of all sizes looking for performance rigging solutions.
