Dutch yard Van der Valk has delivered Joy, the latest 24.75-metre (81-foot) yacht in its flybridge range, to the Mediterranean.
RINA-classified, Joy boasts a striking blue hull and sports exterior design and naval architecture by Van der Valk. Elsewhere, Guido de Groot Design has overseen the interior design.
Described by the yard as a “timeless design with cutting edge equipment”, Joy is built from an aluminium hull and superstructure for an owner working in the shipbuilding sector.
The flybridge deck features an outdoor helm station with a co-pilot seat and sufficient space to store a Williams Turbojet 385 tender.
The interior styling is billed as “contemporary with a traditional touch”, which is reflected in the Pennsylvania walnut and Zebrano woods that are used throughout the main deck.
Accommodation is situated on the lower deck and consists of a full-beam master stateroom, VIP suite and twin cabin. The separate full-beam crew area is suitable for two crewmembers, with two cabins and a shared bathroom.
Power comes from three Volvo Penta IPS800 engines with full joystick control, which allows for a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 18.4 knots.
