Leading crew agent, Viking Recruitment has put together a team with the Maritime Skills Academy (MSA) to take part in the 24 Peaks Challenge this July, in order to raise money for the Seafarers UK maritime charity.
Dubbed as ‘one of the most demanding and rewarding team-building events in the UK’, participants will climb 24 peaks of over 2,400 feet in just 24 hours in a bid to raise as much money possible for the Seafarers UK charity, which supports the maritime community by providing vital funding to support seafarers and their families.
The event will take place over two days across the Lake District in Cumbria, and will see teams climb Scafell Peak – the highest peak in England.
The team, which will be made up of seven staff members from Viking and the MSA, will travel approximately 31 miles from start to finish, competing with other teams in a bid to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the cause.
According to Viking Recruitment, this is by far the hardest challenge that they have done as part of a team, posing a true test of friendship, commitment, patience and fitness levels. Each member of the team will undergo intense training in order to reach the end.
Viking Recruitment is asking for all pledges to be made to their Just Giving Fundraising Page.
