Wally christens fifth Wallyace 27 yacht Private GG at launch

Monaco-based yard Wally has confirmed the fifth hull in its Wallyace 27 series of composite motor yachts has been launched and named Private GG.

Designed in collaboration with the Allseas studio, the 27.33-metre (90-foot) yacht showcases an interior layout by Alberto Pinto Design.

Linda Pinto, managing director at Wally, commented, “The client asked for a light and bright design where the magic words are personalisation, sobriety, purity of the lines with accents on the details to create a chic, sports and relaxed atmosphere.”

Key modifications implemented to meet the brief included moving the staircase to starboard in order to maximise space in the main loft-style living area, which has been finished in an ivory-style fabric.

Private GG boasts an elegant tone on board, thanks in part to the use of white-satin lacquer and grey-bleached oak. In addition, Alberto Pinto Design used red-lacquer accents inside the cabinets and chrome details throughout the boat.

Luca Bassani, Wally founder, said, “With Private GG we have upgraded the 27 Wallyace, introducing larger unobstructed windows of the superstructure to enhance the inside-outside living experience.”

On-board accommodation is for up to seven guests split between three cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite situated aft with a private terrace, a double cabin and a twin cabin with a Pullman berth. The crew quarters allow for up to four staff.

Power comes from a pair of 345hp Caterpillar C12 engines for a cruising speed of 12 knots. When trimmed back to her economic speed of nine knots, Private GG possesses a range of 3,800 miles, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 15,000 litres.

Other key features include a five-metre tender garage, while a gyroscopic-stabilisation system from Seakeeper will ensure a smooth cruising experience. Private GG will now be prepared for delivery to her owner, who is finalising Mediterranean cruising plans.
