Currently holding the title as the world’s largest volume superyacht, 156m Lürssen motor yacht Dilbar has completed her first voyage since delivery to her new owner, Russian tycoon Alisher Usmanov, recently calling into Gibraltar.
M/Y Dilbar visited Gibraltar on 18th May after having left the Lürssen shipyard in Germany the week before. With Gibraltar offering favourable rates on superyacht supplies, it is expected that she made this her first port of call in order to stock up with diesel, spirits and tobacco.
Being kept for private use, she replaces the former 110m M/Y Dilbar, which is still owned by Usmanov, and has now been renamed M/Y Ona.
Not much is currently known about the design and configuration of the new vessel, but, with interiors designed by Andrew Winch Design, she is said to have 20 guest suites and 35 crew cabins on board.
With exterior design by Espen Øeino, she is reported to have generous exterior spaces with a range of amenities, including an outdoor bar, Jacuzzi, helipad and ample space for sunbathing, relaxing and entertaining. She is also rumoured to have a gym, swimming pool, spa, sauna, massage room, tender garage and movie theatre, as well as a separate crew passageway on board.
She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with teak decks, built to Lloyd’s Register SOLAS classification regulations.
Her nameplates indicate memberships to the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Porto Cervo.
