Yacht Crew Data Base, a centralised online database for both crew and crew agencies, is continuing to expand by announcing new improvements and opportunities to their site - www.yachtcrewdatabase.com. The growing company, run by ex-crew, will shortly be offering trial periods for crew agents as well as numerous other advertising opportunities.
According to Louise Clark of Yacht Crew Data Base, “We will be offering a trial period to specific crew agents and will be looking to further develop the website in accordance to recommendations and feedback gained from this process. We will then be charging a yearly subscription fee to crew agents, who will have full access for multiple staff. There will be absolutely no advertising on the crew agent side of the website.
“Further to this, we will be offering selected locations on the site which can be bought on yearly subscription by crew agencies and can be used to advertise, promote jobs, events, courses, or even operate a mini-blog to keep yacht crew informed or up to date with other relevant information. This can be changed by the individual crew agent at will. As ex-yacht crew, we are endeavouring to create a product that will enhance the lives of all Yacht Crew, when on the search for the next job. Our goal is clear, and we hope you will become a part of something extraordinary to assist Yacht Crew the world over.”
Yacht Crew Database is the world's first yacht crew profile and CV interface, streamlining the application procedure for both yacht crew and crew agents alike. They have created one central sign-in and profile, where users can attach all documents and choose to connect to the crew agencies of their choice.
Louise continued, “From our many years in the industry, it has always been noted that the number one pet hate of yacht crew when looking for a job is the online sign-up and check in procedures. With an ever increasing number of crew agents, and positions, this is only getting worse for yacht crew, who feel that they can spend days and days on end completing sign-ups and check-ins, when they could (and perhaps should) be out dock-walking, networking, meeting crew agents personally or simply enjoying their time off of a yacht.
“Our concept is to provide a private network, where yacht crew can be registered in one place, updating certificates, references, CVs and checking-in regularly, while crew agents (with allocated logins ensuring only certified crew agents have access) can check on their existing yacht crew, and also 'head hunt' for new crew using a set of search criteria to narrow down the search results to only appropriately qualified yacht crew.”
