Yachting Pages Media Group announces 2017 award winners

This week at Yachting Pages Media Group, we announced our annual award winners, presented to some of the company’s highest achievers in 2017.

2017’s high flyers include sales team leader Dan Dean who collected three awards for his sterling work in online and boat show sales, and for securing the most returning customers across the company, with over 80% of his clients renewing their advertising each year.

Despite being extra busy with overseas distribution duties, our field operations manager Simon Brooks was also recognised for holding the highest average order value, showing his hands-on experience with Yachting Pages’ complete product portfolio.

Carrie Stocker and Elida Araujo were awarded for their contributions to new business, bringing in new customers across the industry – from florists and tableware suppliers through to HVAC and sanitation engineers. After five years at Yachting Pages, and solo field trips to Malta and Ibiza, Carrie’s achievements in the sales team were further recognised this week with a promotion to senior relationship manager.

Finally, Andy Christopher was awarded 2017’s ‘Best Newcomer’ for his services to the company to date. Joining in December 2016 as a graphic designer, Andy has shown great flexibility and determination in his role, throwing himself into collating four editions of Yachting Pages’ directories, and heading up the group’s rebrand alongside production manager Lisa Ferron, last year’s winner. These efforts alone culminated in a promotion to senior graphic designer.

Outside his duties, he also found himself recruited to join the team at Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show with little to no notice, to assist with hosting, distribution, and flat-pack furniture building of all things! To round it all off, he was also a great help with the office move in September, where he provided the muscle.

Of course, these are just some of the achievements across the company, with Carrie Plummer, Tom Smith, Sarah Rowland, Sandy Hagin and Sophie Blakely all being promoted to new positions, and newcomers Nathan Bees, Cécile Meslay and Dorrotya Kerekes climbing on board.

Well done to everyone!
