We find everything we want at D-Marin Göcek. Gardens, the environment, people at the marina, everything is very nice. Sanitary units are very clean and I suppose this is the reason why many people prefer this place as well as the fact the Marina is very close to the town center.

The social life at the marina is something we have only just started to discover. There is so much to do. We go dancing, do sports, join "Happy Hours". … In addition to these, I must say that Turks are wonderful people.

Need a bigger lift but perfect otherwise

D-Marin Didim is perfect in every way. There is never any problem concerning big boats like ours.

Everything is very nice in the marina but it would be better if the lift capacity was greater, because it is an ideal place for mega yachts. I would like to draw the attention of authorities that it would be super if capacities were a little greater. 600, at least 500 tons lift is needed here since yachts are getting bigger. The smallest superyachts start from 30 metres these days. I think that other sailors will favour this marina in case such a lift exists since it a big marina.

I would like to thank first the mooring team, ensuring the secure approach to and departure from the boatyard, and then the boatyard crew ensuring the secure parking of my boat in the boatyard area, giving clear and sincere responses to my questions and requests. The care taken in relocating the supports placed beneath my boat during painting is an approach that is individually satisfying. I look at my boat's finished condition, and it now displays a completely different outlook in front of my eyes.

I would like to convey my thanks to Cezmi Gül and his assistant Fatih Tunç, plus their team, undertaking the maintenance works, and completing these on time as defined in the contract and in an excessively satisfactory approach.

The reason why we chose D-Marin is quite simple. The marina is situated at a very good location. It is close to everywhere yet at the same time, if you get caught in a strong wind or bad weather, you can sail several miles inland and get a shelter.

The second reason is both service and equipment quality, the people and services are wonderful. Of course it is a very good thing that they can speak our language.

Due to service it presents, D-Marin is a worldwide place. It is managed well, the staff are so kind and cheerful.

Its price is very convenient especially when compared to European marinas.

I have sailed in Pacific, Tahiti, New Zealand, and you must believe me, you cannot find a place like this.

One of the most pleasing things for us is that ever since the marina management changed entrance to the beach has been free for boat owners. We are very very pleased by this change! However, one wish of ours, related with Göcek, is that this bay should not be damaged.

Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On

Geographically, the marina is very well located; it is close to many places and the fact that it is close to the airport is yet another important aspect.

As far as I know, the biggest yacht lift in this region is here. Vessels are hauled out in a very fast and safe way and there is a professional technical team that takes care of all technical issues that need to be completed on the yacht during winter. I think this is the best feature.

As you enter the marina, guidance is very well organised which is not always possible to receive such a service in Europe. Yet another advantage is that there are storing places where you can put your things when the boat has been hauled out during winter, this way, people can work comfortably. As for security, they always check people coming in and going out. I live in England but I know that our boat is safe here.

There are many advantages of being at D-Marin Didim, one of which is that we can always buy fresh fruit from the supermarket.

One of the most pleasant things at the marina was the "Captains' Evening" organised last year. We knew only 3 or 4 people then but we met a lot of new people during that evening.

When we are at the marina, we are always welcomed warmly and we are thankful for that. They give us our beach gear and we are never bored.

Göcek is very beautiful. It is close to both the village and to the bay and the tradesmen there are good, too. People love animals and they do not shoo them away, which we like. You can build a wonderful relation with the tradesmen here, and become friends even with them at the open bazaar. Members of staff are amiable, which is a feature that should be present everywhere but which you cannot find everywhere. They are civilized and one cannot find this in a city. We feel at home.

A new life at D-Marin

We preferred D-Marin Didim Marina as it resembles a lovely and beautiful marina in Scotland. It is clean everywhere. modern and the people are helpful and do their job really well. I can state one different aspect: washing machines and tumble driers. As we live on the boat, this is very important for us and makes us very happy.

Other than that, we go to the sports centre six days a week. This is something we need especially in winter months. We joined the New Year party organised here and it was really one of the best parties ever for us! As was Valentine's Day.

Whenever you leave the boat here, everything you need is right in front of you. From restaurants to the sports centre … On our way to D-Marim Didim Marina we saw many places and I can say that this is the best marina we have seen so far.

It is very comfortable here for both the personnel and the workers. The boatyard area is very nice, it is concrete. Some marinas are very military, but that is not the case here, you are able to do your job more easily.

You may get bored here if you have nothing to do, but if you are addicted to your work like us, you do not seek much. Anything you need is available at the marina. We get tired here, then we go and sit at the 3rd Cove, watch the sea, drink coffee or eat, the whole world is ours.

We even bought our boat here. And, with the recommendations of our friends, we have preferred to moor here, although it is a bit expensive. The coves around here are very convenient to learn sailing. We are not experienced sailors. We only have an amateur sailor's license and a 10-days training course we have attended.

So far, we have been going out to the coves, running our engine, we are acting with precaution. We love it inside Göcek. This is a completely different place. The people of Göcek are happy, people are cheerful. The friends at the marina boost you with positive energy and they assist everyone.

he marina's location is very good, it is highly sheltered even under the most adverse weather conditions, and therefore my boat is safe also. Although our mooring places are a bit narrow, they are very well organised. Entries and exits are easy.

It is a highly delighting area nature-wise, and another feature is that it is very close to the market; you may easily go shopping, have lunch and return to your boat. Above all, it has another very significant advantage; all your colleagues are very well mannered, very respectful and very kind. We have gone to many places both in the world and in Turkey, there possibly may be another place that I do not know of, where nature is so beautiful and relaxing, but for me this is a fantastic place.

Our beach is like the Maldives…

, . Cormoran - 12/12/2014-15:40
Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On

You are able to access to the marina on foot from anywhere in Göcek. Most important of all, as compared to the other big marinas, there is no "commerce" at this marina. At the newly built marinas, the commercial areas cause outside circulation, only in the sense of drinking-dining and shopping. Enclosing the pontoons with wire fences, and allowing others to wine and dine and have fun at the marina mall does not seem like marina management to me. Is this a mall or a marina? You have to choose one of these. Ours is a marina and that is why we love it. We have 2-3 restaurants, 1 grocery shop and a technical service here.

One of the biggest advantages is that it has its own beach. The sand that was brought this year came as a surprise. It does not heat up; you are able to walk barefoot. It has offered an atmosphere of the Maldives to the beach. Additionally, we are very satisfied with the service quality. We believe that it would be quite nice to rally to the Göcek's sister marinas next summer, to D-Marin Turgutreis D-Marin Didim, together with friends.

For those seeking tranquility…

, . Nimir - 12/12/2014-15:37
Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On

We have been coming to Göcek for 10 years now, and our boat is here 12 months round for the past 3 years. It previously was in the Kalamış Marina. We come two or three times in the winter and stay for a week. It is very peaceful in the winter, we love that. I guess we stay the longest in the summer also. We come in the beginning of June; we are here until the beginning of November.

There is no one other than us on this pontoon in the winter. That is, we are like a part of the marina's inventory. We are very pleased with the marina, we also were in the past, it is a very nice marina. Security, restaurant, moorings, all are very nice. I have stayed at numerous marinas in Europe, but believe me the beauty of this marina is not available anywhere else, including the marina in Rome. All coves are very beautiful; Yassıcalar, Hamam Cove, Tersane…

When we come in the winter, we go hiking, we stroll around Göcek and then climb up the mountains, we go to Fethiye. We rented a car and went up to the mountains once; there are areas for rafting behind the mountains. The rafters are flooding in by their safari vehicles. The surroundings are gorgeous, who knows what places there are that we have not seen yet… But, do not let too much to be available in Göcek. If they make it similar to Marmaris, Bodrum, we will look for other places to escape. This place is demanded by those seeking tranquility. Therefore, may Göcek remain like this all the time.

As far as quality is concerned, there has been a significant change ever since Port Göcek was taken over by D-Marin Marinas Group. For those of us who saw the Port Göcek times, there are obvious differences. Compared to other marinas, there is a very disciplined and institutional approach displayed here. There are such novelties as security, satellite connection, and alarm system. I observe that the concept of marina management is very professional.

I would like there to be a sports complex within D-Marin Göcek Marina. I believe there is a need for a small sports hall for the health of the heart, though not a very detailed one. I would be very happy if there were one.

A mariner we met in Greece suggested D-Marin Didim marina. He said we should come and see for ourselves. We have been in this marina for a year and it is very clean and safe. We don't need to worry at all especially in winter.

This wasn't the case in Croatia and Montenegro but Didim Marina is very good in this aspect. Apparently people prefer to go to such places as Bodrum, but this is a calm and beautiful place. Activities and locations at the Marina are very nice for example, the Yacht Club is fantastic. However, because we arrived off-season, the Beach Club wasn't open. We think it would be better if it were open all year long.

We have stayed at different places like Ataköy, Göcek, Karaada, Finike. At the end, we decided to stay at Didim because it would be easier for us to move around. They gave us a wonderful place there. The location of the marina is very good. There is always a light breeze. Besides, they tell us that if we inform them earlier, they could prepare our boat before we come and then you only take your luggage. Didim marina is a joyful place for the ones who seek silence. Turkish coasts are like a paradise. Here I want to thank Doğuş Group for the investments they have done to the sea.

Doğuş Group marinas are the best marinas in Turkey. After having stayed at D-Marin Turgutreis, we came to D-Marin Didim in 2010 February. I must mention that we have always considered the comfort of our boat first. Since Didim is flat, the speed of wind is steady.

Pontoons are regular and we believe that or boat is tied with utmost care. When it comes to our comfort: Didim is a peaceful and a calm place. The transport from the marina is so comfortable and it is not only a marina. We have important antique places such as: the temple of Apollo, Milet, Prynne. Since the Marina has a supermarket, a shopping centre, and large gardens, we do not need to go outside. The food of the Yacht Club, the way they present the food and the cheerful staff are perfect. The technical problems are immediately solved in the Marina. What made us come here is the perfect, modern and clean structure and what keeps us here is the cheerful personnel

We have been at D-Marin Didim since 2009. We are very pleased with everything here, especially the staff and security. This is a very safe marina. I mean, I can comfortably leave the boat here and go home.

For the safety of boats, pontoons and ropes are checked day and night. In addition, we can meet all our requirements here. Frankly, we would rather live in D-Marin Didim than live in Didim. You can find technical service that you cannot find anywhere else. I have a lot of marinas in a lot of places, including Europe, but nowhere else have I witnessed the comfort and peace I find here.

I would like to say a few things about the shipyard too. They can very safely and speedily pull and launch boats. In addition to all that, Didim is privately important for me. I met my wife in 2002 in Croatia and we got married here. Now we live on the boat together. I think D-Marin Didim has brought us luck.

We came here by the instructions of our boss, as the prices of Didim marina are convenient. We are quite satisfied with the marina, but it is a bit too far from the airport. Using İzmir or Milas Bodrum airports takes time, but, I'm sure that this will be overcome in time. It is like a family here; there is sincerity and most important of all, it is clean.

Whenever anything is needed, it comes right away. We are satisfied with the services. The smiling faces of the front office and the other employees are like a mirror of the arena. We are in foreign lands here.

We benefited from the sports facilities at the Yacht Club. We are not able to take part in the activities in the marina too much. I was aware of the backgammon tournaments, but then I was not here. Right now, there is a foosball tournament.

Our only problem is homesickness. I have 3 grandchildren, they live in İstanbul and I miss my kids.

I approximately come to Turkey twice a year for the last ten years. I have a family with three children. I retired sixteen years ago. I was an inspector of a nuclear company. I used to spend all my time on my work. I have never been interested in maritime until I retired. After five years of retirement, I bought a boat and I started to work on as maritime first in England and then in Greece. I first came to Marmaris in 1998. I have been in Göcek, Kemer, Çeşme, Keçibükü and I bought my present boat- S/Y NERISSA in Kemer. I have almost seen all the marinas in Turkey. Didim Marina is one of the most luxurious and the biggest marina I have seen in Turkey. Besides being comfortable, it is also very close to the historical places. My favourite place is Loasos which is not so close to here.

This is my second boat; I had a motorboat before that. I used to live and work in Istanbul. Three years ago, we arrived here on my motorboat. We loved Göcek very much and my wife, Suna, and I settled in here. I am retired. Now we say, "We should have come here before."

A Swiss mariner that I came across one day in one of the bays changed my point of view regarding boats. My Swiss friend told me, "A motorboat won't do in these magnificent bays where the best sailing experience in the world is possible; you should cruise here on a sailboat." When I gained experience on a sailboat soon after that, I realised how so much right he was and I bought this sailboat. The Paradisos, HANSE 461, 14.12 meters long and 4 metres wide, weighs 14 tonnes; a beautiful, 5-year-old girl. I visit my girl every day and we set sails to bays at every occasion.

We have been at this marina for 3 years. Ever since the management changed, there has been a rise in service quality. Service is perfect; both mooring locations and fees have been rearranged by taking the boat length into consideration. Staff members are cordial, I am very pleased. Thank you.
